A few clouds but still hot and dry.

TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For Today- 7/19: Debris clouds from the west are feeding some high cover into the area early but dry conditions are set to dominate for another day. Temperatures will be hot but today should look a lot like yesterday with cloud cover building on the higher terrain but little to no rain actually hitting the ground and that afternoon cloud cover will be a relief from the hot conditions.

Temperatures: The lowest report from Crested Butte came in at 41 this morning with Gunnison holding at 48. Highs will climb early and top out at 89 for Gunni and 84 for CB. Lows tonight will look about the same as last night.

Outlook: The high pressure pocket currently blocking the southern plume moves to the east early Friday allowing the flow of moisture to return. This will allow precipitable water levels to climb again with plenty of fuel for convective storms into the weekend. With levels above 1” combining with the hot temperatures we can expect slow moving cells developing through the afternoons capable of wetting rains. Get out early on any adventures or be prepared.
