TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 3/9/10 For today: The parade of these unorganized pacific systems is continuing with the latest system that we were expecting for Wednesday night choking up on us with snow starting today and continuing through Wednesday night. The outlook for accumulations has not improved and we can expect a couple inches at a time at best but, given the latest weather conditions, snow falling is better than snow melting. Temperatures will remain warm so expect what we see to come in warm and wet with squally showers making for some complicated travel. Overnight lows were cooler last night with the partly clear skies with Crested Butte reporting 10 degrees and Gunnison dropping a little lower to 7 degrees. Daytime highs will hit the 30’s but look for the clouds and snow to moderate temperatures. Tonight’s lows will hold to the teens with the heavy cloud cover for all elevations. A lack of organization in this pattern is keeping the moisture from forming any real snowmakers and this same mix of weaker snow and sunshine will dominate through the end of the week. Look for a couple inches at a time to freshen up conditions and be sure to layer up as you head out and expect changes over the course of the day.
